There are six varieties rolling out for the launch, each “wrapped in 64 layers of crisp, golden puff pastry and weighing‐in at around 200g”, according to the company.
As well as branded table‐top and freestanding grab-and-go equipment, Country Choice is also offering holders and stickers for the range. Perforated film bags are available separately for operators who choose to display the products wrapped.
The range includes West Country Cheddar & Onion, Pork & Smoky Bacon, Pork, Cheese & Pickle, Chilli Beef, Pork & Chorizo and The Classic, which contains UK and Irish pork sausage meat with a seasoning of parsley, sage, thyme and black pepper.
All of the sausage rolls should be baked from frozen for 40‐45 minutes at 180℃, or until golden brown and then immediately transferred to a pre‐heated display unit, where they will have a shelf‐life of four hours. Packed in cases of 24, with each pack including holders and stickers, they have an RRP of £2.29.
