Two Swiss roll products have been recalled due to incorrect ingredients information.

The rolls contain whey but the word milk is not correctly mentioned in the ingredients list, posing a risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.

The recalled products are 300g packs of Delicontinental Swiss Roll with Strawberry & Cream Flavoured Fillings and Delicontinental Swiss Roll with Cocoa Sponge & Cream Flavoured Fillings with dates up to and including 27 June 2016, by long-life bread and cake distributers British & Continental Food Brokers.

In a point-of-sale notice, British & Continental Food Brokers said: “As a precautionary measure, the above products have been recalled because the products contain whey, but the word ‘milk’ is not declared correctly within the ingredients list.

“Any customers who have bought the above product should return it to their retailer for a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience to our customers.”

British & Continental Food Brokers was formed in 1989 and is an importer and distributor of long-life bread and cake from Europe and the UK. Delicontinental is one if the company’s trading names, along with Mica, Fresh Food Services and British & Continental Food Brokers.
