Bakery Ingredients firm CSM Bakery Solutions is relocating its global headquarters to the US from Amsterdam.
In a $5.5m (£3.55m) investment, the new headquarters will move to Sandy Springs near Atlanta in Georgia and create 120 jobs. CSM already has operations in Georgia, with a site 15 miles further north in Tucker.
The move, due to be completed by mid-2016, will consolidate several regional functions into one centralised location. It will also bring CSM’s total employment in Georgia to more than 800.
The facility will include a customer experience centre where CSM said it will showcase its culinary expertise and a selection of its products and solutions in a customer-friendly environment.
CSM’s current head office in Amsterdam also acts as a regional office and will remain open, with no big changes planned.

Critical in our decision were the area’s transportation infrastructure, schools, cost and quality of housing, and business-friendly atmosphere, all in support of our multicultural workforce.”
Based in the Netherlands, the former CSM group sold its bakery supplies business, including its European, US and international bakery supplies units and the CSM brand name to private-equity group Rhône Capital in 2013 for €1.05bn. The deal included the site in Amsterdam.
The bio-based ingredients business that was left was re-named Corbion in 2013.
