Muppets help Subway drive new campaign

Subway has launched a Muppets-themed campaign aimed at families.

Working with Disneymedia+, the company has created two new subs - turkey avocado and chicken avocado - to tie in with the launch of Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted.

Subway has also introduced avocado as an additional salad option and six Kids Paks, featuring a low-fat four-inch sub, Capri Sun Fruit Crush drink and a Bear Pure Fruit Yoyos.

Running for seven weeks, the in-store campaign is complemented by two TV ads featuring Muppets characters.

Manaaz Akhtar, regional marketing director for the Subway brand in Europe, said: “The Subway brand is thrilled to be working with Disneymedia+ again on the launch of Muppets Most Wanted. Our new Kids’ Paks are great, collectable items that kids will be excited about long after they’ve finished their meal, and the introduction of avocado means there’s a new reason for parents to be excited about visiting Subway stores too.”
