Thousands of professionals from the bakery, pastry and chocolate-making industries are set to descend upon France’s Paris-Nord Villepinte for trade show Europain next month.

Taking place from 3 to 6February, the exhibition takes a new segmented approach with specialist areas for manufacturing/producing (equipment and raw materials), selling (furniture, packaging and store design) and managing (finance, communication and associations).

Alongside the exhibition, visitors will be able to attend conferences across the four days on topics ranging from sourdough and gluten-free baking to ancient and modern wheats, as well as Asian market trends and ingredients management.

Bakers will also be able to attend the Baker’s Lab – a full-size bakery where 40-minute demonstrations will be given by top French chefs and international bakers, alongside 15-minute presentations on a variety of themes.

Meanwhile, the Masters de la Boulangerie competition will see 18 of the world’s best bakers go head to head in order to win the title of World Master Baker.
