Pork pie brand Pork Farms has struck a deal with Boots, which will help to further its growth in the chilled pastry category.

The deal will see a range of Pork Farms’ key products feature in the retailer’s lunchtime meal deal.

Consumers will be able to purchase its twin-pack snack eggs, twin-pack mini pork pies or the ‘big hit’ king-size sausage roll, as the snack part of the £3.29 meal deal offer.

The firm has also introduced a number of new pork-based snacking options to its range. Branston Pickle Bites and English Mustard bites will go on sale in May.

In March this year, Pork Farms rebranded its entire product range in an effort to communicate the company’s history and encourage consumers to have an “emotional engagement” with the brand.

The £1m makeover coincided with the manufacturer’s 80th anniversary and saw new products launched, including snack slices, mini pork pies and Scotch eggs.

Andy Napthine, head of marketing at Pork Farms, commented: “We are delighted to announce our drive to capture more of the lunchtime market, with the start of our first ever meal deal with Boots. This particular promotion will challenge consumers’ perceptions of pork pies, snack eggs and sausage rolls purely as special occasion or in-home items.”
