BSA to award single outlet
The search is on to find Britain’s top bakery sandwich shop for the British Sandwich Industry Awards 2006, organised by The British Sandwich Association (BSA).
Focused this year on individual shops rather than businesses, the Tri-Star Bakery Sandwich Shop of the Year Award will be judged on factors such as presentation, atmosphere, facilities, cleanliness and product range as well as any initiatives that have been taken to develop the business during the last year.
“This award recognises the importance of the bakery sector in the sandwich market,” said BSA director Jim Winship. “In the past it has been awarded to a bakery business but we have changed it to reflect the fact that some bakeries only focus on sandwiches in key sites.” Anyone wanting to enter can call the BSA on 01291 636341 or email: admin@sandwich.org.uk.
