Foodtools of Ongar, Essex exhibited at BIE showing its extensive range of cutting and portioning equipment for all size bakery manufacturers.

The models ranged from basic cutters up to high-end ultrasonic cutters and portioners for everything from cakes, tortillas, pies, pizzas and cake slab lines. Foodtools believes it is the only company to make an ultrasonic machine for small craft bakers.

The firm has been in business for 25 years and new to the industry was an auto-table, which automatically cuts sheet cakes in or out of trays at a speed of 70 to 80 trays per hour.

Also new on the stand was a portioning machine for cheesecakes.
