A total of 12 young bakers
have recently graduated from a three-month foundation course in the skills of baking that is open to 14 to 16-year-olds. They attended Warburtons Bakers Academy at Birmingham College of Food and Tourism.
College bakery tutor Ross Jones said: "It is a wonderful opportunity for young people to gain some real practical experience."
Warburtons is in its third year of sponsoring the course. Mike Ewing, manager at Warburtons' Wednesbury Bakery, said: "This course continues to be popular. It's great to see people enthusiastic about baking."
