Cereal ingredient specialist Edme has announced the commissioning of a Satake ESM Alphascan Colour Sorter at its plant in Mistley, Essex.
Colour Sorters use diffused light to mask 'good' product as it passes a series of cameras, enabling non-standard material - objects that are lighter or darker - to be identified and rejected.
The purchase is part of an ongoing investment in the facility, according to the company.
