Gluten-free and vegan bakery Cupcakes and Shhht will be attending London’s street food scene, KERB Camden Market, which will officially open to the public on Friday 12 August.

Thirty-five of the capital’s best-known and most innovative traders will offer locals and visitors a unique eating and drinking experience at the canal-side location.

Cupcakes and Shhht will be offering gluten- free and vegan cupcakes, including the flavours Pecan Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue, Apple and Cinnamon Crumble, Chocolate and Salted Caramel and Bacon and Maple Syrup.

The cupcakes come in two sizes priced at £2 for a small product and £3 for a large, and use the finest ingredients to make each cupcake as natural as possible. The gluten free flour used to create them is made using a mixture of tapioca, buckwheat and rice flour.

Co-founder of Cupcakes and Shhht, Caitlyn Badham-Thornhill told British Baker: “I am really excited about the re-launch of the market, and I think it is going to be a really good direction for our company. The business started four years ago, and Camden has really allowed the company to grow. We hope that, in the future, we can have more market stalls, another permanent location and be better known.”

Cupcakes and Shhht started out baking products at home to sell at markets in Camden Town and quickly adjusted to market life and the difference of retail within a market stall.

The following year, the company built a shed in Camden Town, which became its first fixed location and upgraded a year on with a café in Elephant & Castle.

KERB Camden Market will open 11am-6pm Monday to Thursday, 11am-10pm on Friday and Saturday and 11am-7pm on Sundays.
