Caramello Gelato and Patisserie has opened its doors for dessert lovers around Manchester to indulge in various baked puddings.

The dessert bar officially opened for its first day of trading on Wednesday (27 July) in the south Manchester suburb of Didsbury.

The business offers a large range of dessert selections freshly made by the new company, including pancakes and waffles – priced at £4.90, sundaes, including salted caramel and peanut, and banana splits priced at £4.70.

Customers can also enjoy shakes made with nostalgic sweet treats such as Reese’s Peanut Butter and Ferrero Rocher  - priced at £4.50.

Owner Sham Sadiq previously lived in Italy and Paris and, having a sweet tooth, grew a huge passion for desserts. After settling back down in Didsbury, and realising the area’s lack of child-friendly venues, he decided to follow his dream of launching Caramello.

This will be the second dessert bar to open in Manchester after Milk Jam launched in April this year, which is run by baking trio Claire Kelsey, Charlotte O’Toole and Nicky Griffiths.
