Coffee #1 recalls brownie over milk concerns

23 May, 2016

Coffee #1 is recalling its gluten- and dairy-free hazelnut and praline brownies because they have been found to contain milk.

The recall affects all the product found in Coffee #1 stores, which poses a possible health risk to anyone with a milk intolerance or allergy.

On its website, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) stated: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where you bought it for a full refund.”

A spokesperson for Coffee#1 said: “As a product we have removed the praline brownie from sale while we carry out further investigation.

“As far as we are aware, it is a dairy-free product, so we are just investigating where the contamination has occurred.”
