Owner of the UK’s first Starbucks franchise Anil Patil has raised £10m to open 16 new sites.
The funds have been secured from Royal Bank of Scotland and private equity firm Connection Capital.
Patil, who previously ran and then sold an 18-site Domino’s Pizza franchise, plans to open 100 sites in the next five years.
As quoted in The Daily Telegraph, Patil said: “As the franchise market continues to grow across the UK, we will be able to capitalise on latent demand in under-served areas of the country and help boost Starbucks’ UK market share.”
