Running from 23-27 February at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Genius’ white sandwich loaf won Best Newcomer and Best Functional Food, and was runner-up in the Bakery Category.
Roz Cuschieri, chief executive of Genius, said she was “thrilled to have the quality and taste” of Genius’ white sandwich loaf recognised at the show.
The business supplies nine Spinney’s and four Waitrose supermarkets with seven products, with plans to expand into 78 outlets in the coming months.
Products available include the 350g sliced white bread, 350g sliced brown bread, the Genius bloomer, the Genius fruit loaf, blueberry muffins, naan and pitta breads.
“Our ambition is for Genius to be the first global gluten-free brand,” Cuschieri said. “We are taking our innovative product range around the world to satisfy the burgeoning consumer demand for the best-tasting gluten-free foods.”
