Chris Brockman, Mintel: ‘Baking in retail’

Chris will look at the wider bakery market, giving the latest sales data and trends from Mintel research.

During a 15-year research career, Chris has provided insight and consultancy services to many of the leading global food and drink producers and retailers. As market intelligence manager for a technical food consultancy, Chris led a team undertaking research on food ingredients sectors and tracking global innovation trends.

He also led a research team at an export market consultancy, identifying international business opportunities, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets, and devising market entry strategies.

Claire is a global FMCG insight and innovation expert, with 20 years’ experience in creating brand growth. She is also a columnist for The Grocer magazine.

Martyn will discuss the results of British Baker’s baking industry confidence survey and look at the trends shown in the annual BB75 tracker. He will also report on the businesses that are making headway. A journalist for 16 years and British Baker editor, Martyn has appeared on national television and radio and has spoken at key baking industry events.
