The new website for National Craft Bakers’ Week (NCBW) has been launched.

The new-look website, www.craftbakersweek.co.uk, contains information about how to get involved and enables bakers to register online to take part between 7 to 13 October.

All registered events will appear on the website, enabling members of the public to search for events near to them. Free point-of-sale materials, including posters and bunting, will be provided to bakers registered to take part and will be available from August.

Ivor McKane, channel director at CSM and chair of National Craft Bakers’ Week 2013 said: “We want this to be the biggest and most successful National Craft Bakers’ Week yet. This new website is part of our investment to help take the week to another level and really engage both the industry and the general public.”

The theme for National Craft Bakers’ Week 2013 is ‘Love your Baker’ and the campaign encourages people to visit their local high street craft baker and highlights the skills and range of produce, including regional specialities, that bakers make every day.

National Craft Bakers’ Week is funded and supported by the Craft Bakers’ Association and Scottish Bakers and stakeholders from across the bakery sector, including British Baker, California Raisins, CSM, Bakels, Bako, BFP, Dawn, Ireks, Marriage’s, Macphie, Puratos, Reynards and Zeelandia.

Bakers can also register for the awareness week by calling the Craft Bakers’ Associaion on 01920 468061 or Scottish Bakers on 0131 229 1401.
