Tom and Henry Herbert, stars of Channel 4’s The Fabulous Baker Brothers, have been invited to recreate their show for the US, according to the latest reports.

As reported on thisisgloucestershire.co.uk, the siblings have been invited by American television channel Discovery TV to make a US version of the show, currently in its second series in the UK.

The pair, who run Hobbs House Bakery in Chipping Sodbury, are due to jet off to America this summer to make a two-part food and travelogue, starting in New Orleans.

Tom Herbert said: “We will look at different food sub-cultures and what makes each area special. Henry and I will each cook something inspired by the area. In New Orleans, for instance, we’ll look at Creole culture, the music, history and food.

“It’s very exciting. I keep pinching myself. If it goes well, then we’ll make more programmes.”

The move comes as Paul Hollywood, judge on BBC Two’s The Great British Bake Off, revealed last month he would be taking up the same role in an American version of the show called The Great American Baking Competition, which is due to air in the US in May.
