Edme appoints new MD

Edme, the bakery ingredients producer, has announced that Peter Tichbon, a former director of Allied Bakeries, has joined the group as its new managing director.

Tichbon replaces David Amos, who stepped down earlier this year to take a job with Zeelandia, and joins the Edme on 25 September.

Amos, who had held the position as managing director at Edme for the past 12 years, is due to commence his new role with Zeelandia at the company’s UK base in Billericay, Essex in early September.

Tichbon was previously at Palmer & Harvey and at Coca Cola in senior roles in sales Management, project management, and as a production Manager.

David Thompson, chief executive of Anglia Maltings (Holdings), the parent company of Edme, said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter to Edme and to Anglia Maltings and look forward to working with him.”

Edme was founded in Essex in 1896.
