Krispy Kreme, the doughnut retailer, has reported a 3.7% rise in revenues, driven by an increase in same-store sales.

Revenues were $108.5m, for the three months to 29 April 2012, with same-store sales up 2.1%, the 14th straight quarter of growth. Operating income rose 10.2% to $10.8m. Sales from franchised operations rose by 5.8%.

The brand also has new agreements in place in Moscow and Northern India for a total of more than 70 new shops.
