Kerry butters up bakers

04 May, 2012

Kerry Ingredients & Flavours is looking to enhance the flavour of buttery biscuits with its new Beatreme range. The Irish supplier of food ingredients has developed the line, which includes cream, butter and cultured dairy, and has been created by naturally culturing fresh milk solids.

The Beatreme range, which also has a clean label declaration, can be used to enhance creamy, butter flavours or allow manufacturers to reduce butter content while retaining an authentic taste.

Mike Carr, fine bakery market director EMEA, Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, said: "Taste is a crucial dimension; the rich, buttery taste enables the indulgent positioning, offering something extra special in the consumer mind-set.
