For seven days every year, leading bakery ingredients and product manufacturer CSM United Kingdom offers craft bakers and food service operators across the country the chance to increase sales, while raising money for charity.
A national campaign supported by free national press coverage and publicity designed to increase customers to your shop, have some fun and encourage everyone to treat themselves or someone else to a doughnut.

British Sandwich Asssociation awards dinner

The British Sandwich Industry Award is presented to a sandwich business or individual who has made a major contribution to the development, growth and prosperity of the industry.
This is a lifetime award. No entries are necessary in this category, as the award is made by the BSA Management Committee. However, anyone can put forward suggestions for consideration.

Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees Annual Conference
Location: Alton Towers, Staffordshire
As a cross industry organisation, the primary aim of ABST shall be to facilitate and maintain a proactive dialogue within a united baking industry around all issues relating to bakery education and training. In all its thinking, ABST shall always seek to retain, develop and maintain the underpinning craft skills and technical knowledge required by the baking industry. Further ABST shall forever offer guidance, share information and seek to support all who are studying bakery or undertaking bakery training within the industry.

Bakers' Fair
Location: Kempton Park
The Summer event will play host to a range of exhibitors from across the bakery and food-to-go industry who will be showcasing new and existing products and services to help improve product quality and business performance.
There will also be plenty of live activity throughout the day to keep visitors entertained, including a full line up of stage presentations and demonstrations. In addition to this, The National Association of Master Bakers will once again be running their bakery competition classes which will be judged live at the show and are open to all bakers to enter.

In 2012 British Food Fortnight will take place 27 July to 12 August (at the same time as the Olympics). We have the biggest opportunity for a generation to showcase the best of British to the world. Food and sport go hand in hand and we want the whole nation to be feasting on British food as they cheer our medal hopes home. The eyes of the world will be on Britain and British Food Fortnight is bringing the best of British to the world.

Local Loaves for Lammas

Not that anyone needs an excuse, but Lammas is a perfect opportunity to eat and celebrate locally made Real Bread.
Taking its name from hlafmaesse, the Old English for loaf mass, Lammas is an ancient harvest festival. A traditional highlight was eating bread baked using flour milled from the first grain of the year.
Join, bakers, millers and other real food lovers around the country by encouraging people in your community to give some extra love to local loaves of all-natural Real Bread. Add details of YOUR event or offer on/around 1 August to the Real Bread Campaign's events calendar today!
